Without engineering, most municipalities limit unreinforced block retaining walls to 4 feet or less. Taller walls require engineering, proper footings, drainage, and reinforced, grouted cores. We can build to any height with the right engineering in place.
Yes — drainage is critical for any retaining wall. Without it, water pressure builds behind the wall and dramatically increases the load it has to resist. We install drainage aggregate and weep holes or drain pipe as part of every retaining wall project.
Absolutely. Block walls can be stuccoed, veneered with stone or brick, painted, or left with a split-face texture for a natural look. We can advise on finish options that work for your project.
